We had a fantastic stay at Backpacker Cowies! the location was perfect, with popular attractions like the Gateway of India, Taj Mahal Palace, and Colaba markets just a short walk away. the staff at the hostel were incredibly helpful and friendly, and we even took a guided tour which was both inexpensive and enjoyable. the hostel itself was clean and comfortable, with cozy dorm beds equipped with lights and sockets for convenience. the filtered water and kitchenette provided all the necessary amenities, and the staff even helped us get an Indian SIM card.
We highly recommend Backpacker Cowies as a great place to stay in Mumbai. Cons: Nothing that I didn't like.

Great location in Colaba neighborhood. Comfy bed, charger point, light, and locker in the dorm. Clean common areas and well-equipped kitchen. Easy access to the metro and nearby attractions like the Gateway to India. Friendly and helpful staff, including Poorva and Amish. Good suggestions for eating out and excellent service overall. Meeting people from different walks of life and exchanging ideas in the chilled-out dorm. A pleasant and relaxed atmosphere.
Felt totally relaxed, no reason to complain.

The location of the hotel is great, with easy access to tourist attractions and eateries nearby. the rooms are clean and provide the necessary amenities. the staff is friendly and helpful, providing services like laundry and parking facilities. the common areas, like the chill-out area and rooftop, offer a pleasant space to relax and enjoy the view.
The hot water for showers doesn't last long, requiring frequent interruptions to let it heat up again.

The staff at the front desk were incredibly helpful and friendly, always ready to assist with any queries or requests we had. They were knowledgeable about the local area and gave us great recommendations for nearby attractions and restaurants. the housekeeping team ensured that our room was clean and tidy throughout our stay, making us feel comfortable and at ease.
One aspect that we disliked was the lack of turnover rate. We noticed that many people had been staying for long periods of time, and their belongings seemed to occupy a significant amount of space, including the shared facilities.

I gotta say, Backpacker Cowies was totally worth the price! The room was clean and cozy, and I loved having my own light and storage cupboard. Plus, the location was killer, super close to all the cool tourist spots. And the staff? They were so welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived. Definitely coming back next time I'm in town!
The breakfast option could use a little improvement, maybe more variety?

The hostel had great facilities, including hot showers and clean bedding. the cafe was a nice touch, and I really enjoyed the chilled atmosphere in the upstairs lounge area. the staff were very helpful and kind, and I appreciated the warm welcome I received upon arrival. the location was also convenient, with key tourist spots nearby.
There were a few areas that could be improved. the lack of curtains in the dormitory beds made it difficult to sleep when someone turned on the main room light at night.
